Historic Rail Site Bus Tour

Join us for a one of a kind tour of the places that put the City of Roanoke on the map. Virginia Museum of Transportation Executive Director Bev Fitzpatrick will lead a 90 minute guided bus trip around Roanoke to sites like the Shaffer's Crossing Locomotive Facility, the East End Shops of the Norfolk & Western Railway, and the recently rehabbed Virginian Station among others. Fitzpatrick will tell you all about what they are, what they meant to the overall fabric of Roanoke's history and what they're doing now while you ride along in an antique bus provided by Commonwealth Coach and Trolley.

Tickets are $10 per person (in addition to museum admission) and pre-registration is required. Three tours will be offered; Saturday September 2 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sunday September 3 at 2 p.m.
