The Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group comes together to host Dogfish Head Craft Brewery on Sunday, June 7th on the Meat & Potatoes patio for an outdoor family style picnic.
The evening will consist of a welcome beer from Sam's Secret Stash and five courses prepared by the chefs of Meat & Potatoes, Butcher and the Rye and täkō with expertly paired Dogfish Head Craft Brewery pairings.
First Course:
Crudo – scallop / tomatoes / watermelon / lemon / jalapeno
pairing:
Namaste, 4.85%, 20 IBU, Belgian-style white beer
Second Course:
Bo Ssam – pork shoulder / oysters / red dragon sauce / scallion ginger sauce / kimchi / pickles / cilantro / bibb lettuce
pairing:
Festina Pêche, 4.8%, 8 IBU, Berliner Weiss style beer
Third Course:
Clam Bake – lobster / shrimp / housemade sausage / potatoes / corn on the cob
pairing:
American Beauty, 9.0%, 55 IBU, Imperial Pale Ale inspired by the Grateful Dead
Fourth Course:
Smoked Brisket – potato rolls / Carolina BBQ / Coffee BBQ / Chipotle BBQ / ranch slaw / dill pickles / bread & butter pickles
pairing:
Raison d’Extra, 15-19%, 40 IBU, the Raison D'Etre, with a little extra, takes Belgian-style browns to new heights
Fifth Course:
Rhubarb Pie with lemon crust and strawberry sorbet
pairing:
Dogfish 120 Minute IPA, 15-20%, 120 IBU, the Holy Grail for hopheads
