Evelyn Hofer’s Dublin 

To mark the final weekend of the IMMA exhibition Second Sight: David Kronn Photography Collection; Evelyn Hofer’s Dublin takes the form of a Photographer’s Tour of Dublin, led by Amelia Stein (photographer, Aosdána) and Seán Kissane ( Curator, Exhibitions,IMMA). This includes conversations with some of the real life sitters behind Hofer’s portraits, a site specific talk by Gary Coyle (artist) on his project At Sea, and other responses from photographers who are featured in this exhibition. Meeting Point: IMMA's Garden Galleries 



10.30am: Gather at Garden Galleries IMMA for a short tour of Second Sight led by David Kronn. Featured photographers Doug DuBois, Yaron Lapid, and others will offer insights into their working processes

11.30am: Bus tour of Dublin city on selected sites documented by Hofer and other Magnum photographer in the 1960s

2.30pm: Lunch and conversations with sitters from Hofer’s portraits

4pm: Visit Joyce Tower and Sandycove, led by Gary Coyle who discusses his project At Sea and its relationship to Joyce’s Dublin

6pm: Return to city centre

Curator’s Talk | Brett Rogers

To close the Second Sight exhibition, the Director of the Photographers Gallery, London discusses her curatorial interests in photography practice today and offers a response to a selection of works in the show.
