PATH FINDERS 2014 Student Concert

VCU Department of Dance and Choreography  will present PATH FINDERS, the 2014 Student Concert, on Friday & Saturday, January 24 & 25 at 8:00 pm at the Grace Street Theater, 934 West Grace Street, Richmond, VA. Tickets are $15/$10 students with valid I.D. and are available now at showclix.com or by calling 804-828-2020.
 
This professionally produced concert adjudicated by VCU Dance faculty and two students will feature new work choreographed by VCU Dance majors Sanchel Brown (senior), Ivy Bryngelson, (junior), Morgahn Crawford (sophomore), Christie Klach, (senior), Charlie Maybee, (senior), Johnnie Mercer (senior), Callie Moore, (freshman), Jacob Spallino (junior) and Emily Todd (senior).
 
Drawing inspiration from a personal and evolving process of creative exploration, the PATH FINDERS choreographers present a body of work that explores untraversed regions in their artistic development. Each young artist has worked to translate their emerging voice into movement, deepening their understanding of the endless possibilities dance offers for self-expression.
 
PATH FINDERS is the ninth event in the 2013-2014 VCU Dance season. VCU Department of Dance & Choreography is a community of highly motivated, disciplined and creative dancers who are interested in shaping the future of the field. We are committed to building and enlightening dance audiences in the University and Richmond communities while providing opportunities for artists to present and create work. Recognized by professional dancers and choreographers as “a place where things are happening,” VCU Dance offers a vibrant and stimulating atmosphere where students prepare for careers in dance. The presenting program of VCU Dance is committed to building and engaging dance audiences in the University and Richmond communities while providing opportunities for artists to present and create work.
