Murder & Mayhem 2015

This two-hour evening lantern tour introduces some of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery’s fallen angels and colorful incidents. Join us by lantern light as we meet both victims and perpetrators: the flamboyant businesswoman branded “the wickedest woman in New York,” a debonair counterfeiter, the scene of a grave robbery, victims of “the Mad Murderer of Sleepy Hollow,” a brotherly murder-suicide, and the celebrated opera singer who was alleged to have assaulted, extorted, and killed various of her seven husbands. Subject matter is not suitable for children.

October Dates:  Every Thursday and Saturday night in October from 8:00-10:00 p.m., with an extra 10:00 p.m. - 12 midnight tour on Halloween night.

November Dates:  November 7, 14 and 28 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Location: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery North Gate, 540 North Broadway.

Please note there is plenty of free parking on site.

Skill level: Some people may find the pace of our two-hour walking tours challenging. We cover more than a mile on foot and encounter stairs, unpaved roads, and hills. Please consider your own abilities when signing up for a tour.

Weather: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery walking tours generally run rain or shine. If we cancel a tour due to severe weather such as high winds, lightning, or heavy rain, we will promptly refund your full purchase price.
