Get your music, drink, and art fix at the MSV after dark…1920s style!


Escape Prohibition and say the secret password to enter the MSV Speakeasy and enjoy a Bee’s Knees cocktail or a 1920s-style lager, strike a pose in a photo booth, munch on freshly popped popcorn, take the interactive Two Truths and One Lie gallery tour with MSV Curator of Collections Nick Powers, and enjoy a rare evening tour of the exhibition Our Strength is Our People: The Humanist Photographs of Lewis Hine led by MSV Deputy Director of Arts and Education Nancy Huth. 1920s inspired attire encouraged, but not required. Don’t miss this fun evening at the MSV! #MSVafterDark


Free to MSV Members; all others: $15 (includes MSV admission and light refreshments; cash bar). For ages 21+; ID required. Registration required by March 20; register online or call 540-662-1473, ext. 240.


Featured bar drinks available for purchase:



  • Bee's Knees (a prohibition-era cocktail made with gin, lemon juice & honey)

  • Millstone Historical Lager from Winchester Brew Works (a lager brewed using all malts/ingredients available to the Prohibition-era brewer and named for the Winchester Milling Corporation, which stood on the site of Winchester Brew Works in the 1920s)

  • House Red & White Wine

­­­Refunds for Programs and Special Events: Programs are held rain, snow, or shine, unless notified otherwise. Cancellations 5 days prior to the program or event date will be refunded, less 20% of the registration fee ($5 minimum). No refunds will be given for cancellations made 1-4 days prior to the program/event date. Allow ten business days for refund processing. Programs cancelled by the MSV due to low enrollment or inclement weather conditions will be refunded in full or given a full credit towards a future program to be used within the year.
