Penn Brewery Beer Dinner
Meat & Potatoes is hosting Penn Brewery on Thursday, January 22nd for a 5 course beer dinner featuring a custom menu designed by Meat & Potatoes Chef de Cuisine, James Ciminillo with beer pairings by Bar Manager, Cecil Usher.
First Course:
Roasted Cauliflower - butternut squash / romesco / pine nuts / micro greens
paired with Penn Gold - soft and malty, with a balance of flavors coming together against a subtly spiced hop background ABV: 4.5%
Second Course:
Chicken Roulade - chicken sausage / crispy chicken skin / smoked sweet potatoes / chicken skin jus
paired with Kaiser Pils - a crisp pilsner beer, floral & aromatic hop bouquet ABV: 5.0%
Third Course:
Korean Beef Stew - short rib / kimchi / napa cabbage / noodles
paired with Brick Biergarten IPA - deep amber in color, hop forward aroma and taste ABV: 7%
Fourth Course:
Banh Mi - pork sausage / foie gras custard / micro cilantro / picked carrots / cucumbers
paired with Penn Dark - deep mahogany color, beautiful tawny foam, a complex array of nutty, toffee and roasted notes ABV: 5.3%
Dessert Course:
Housemade brown sugar maple BACON
paired with Nut Roll, spiced winter ale 6.2% or Chocolate Meltdown, chocolate stout 5.5%
