Local and Sustainable Floral Design
with Ellen Frost, floral designer with Local Color Flowers
Ellen Frost will share her passion for locally grown flowers and sustainable floral design discussing local flower sourcing and sustainable design mechanics. She will create a floral design using flowers, foliage and flowering branches sourced from farms located within 100 miles of Baltimore. She'll also share stories about the farmers that grew the flowers that she will be using in her design.
Ellen Frost is the founder and owner of Local Color Flowers, a design studio in Baltimore, Maryland, which sources all of its flowers, foliage and branches and plants from farms within 100 miles of Baltimore. Frost has an MBA from Loyola University and is a Baltimore Master Gardener. She is a national leader in the Local Flowers movement and is an active member of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers.
