LAURA (1944)

Otto Preminger's masterpiece of dark cinema is cinematic perfection. Dedication morph's into obsession for Detective Lieutenant McPherson (Dana Andrews) when he falls in love with beautiful Laura Hunt, the victim of the murder he is investigating. Beautifully crafted performances by Gene Tierney, Clifton Webb and Vincent Price are accompanied by David Raksin's casting haunting theme. Screened in tribute of the late Hollywood casting director and festival co-producer Marvin Paige.
