Josh Levs, All In

In Conversation with Nadia Bilchik, CNN Editorial Producer and President of Greater Impact Communication

When journalist Josh Levs was denied fair parental leave by his employer after his child was born, he fought back—and won. Since then, he’s become an advocate for modern families and working fathers. In All In, he explores the changing face of fatherhood and what it means for our individual lives, families, workplaces, and society. Combining Levs’ personal experiences with investigative reporting and frank conversations with fathers about everything from work-life to money and sex, All In bursts popular myths, lays out facts, uncovers the forces holding all of us back, and shows how we can all join together to change them

Josh Levs is an investigative journalist, an expert on issues facing modern families and author of the new book All In: How Our Work-First Culture Fails Dads, Families, and Businesses--And How We Can Fix It Together. New York Times columnist Charles M. Blow called it “fantastic;” the Washington Post’s Brigid Schulte called it a “must read;” the Chicago Tribune called it “fascinating,” and Forbes asked in a headline, “Can This Man Get Corporate America To Rethink An Anti-Dad Culture?”  The Financial Times named him one of the top 10 male feminists.  And The New York Times, in a front-page story, referred to him as “a pioneer of sorts.”

Levs has received many of the highest honors in journalism, including six Peabody Awards and two Edward R. Murrow Awards.  A scholarship was awarded in his name at his alma mater, Yale University, and he was named a Journalist of the Year by the Atlanta Press Club. Levs lives in Atlanta with his wife and children.
