JESSIE GALANTE

Crowned Buffalo’s First Lady of Rock, Jessie Galante along with her band “Actor” rapidly became the number one female singer in the region and received airplay from the area’s top radio stations.  Moving to LA she formed the group “Fire” which gained massive appeal and regional acclaim as one of LA’s top bands.  When the group disbanded she returned to the Buffalo area to concentrate on her solo career; she married double platinum producer Larry Swist (Spyro Gyra, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Chuck Mangione and Sly & the Family Stone)

Between August 2012 and July 2013, Jessie and Larry lived in Germany and Italy and traveled between New York City, New Jersey, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy to write and record songs for the CD entitled, “The Show Must Go On,” backed by a high-profile production team and joining Larry is Jack Daley (Lenny Kravitz, Joss Stone) and Rob Bailey (Anastacia, Jive Jones).

Also collaborating with Jessie and producing are Dutch songwriter and guitarist Joop Wolters, Italian songwriter and producer Roberto Sterpetti (San Remo, Benedetta Giovagnini), Italian rock singer and producer Enrico Scutti (Cheope and Figure of Six) and Italian producer, songwriter, singer Alessandro DelVecchio

(Glenn Hughes, Ian Paice, Jack Blades, and Deep Purple).

To listen to Jessie Galante’s distinctive gift is to recognize a

charged vocal approach that can shift from subtly sensual emotion to hair-raising aggression at a moment's notice. Jessie’s huge voice is her trademark… a consortium of pure strength, gorgeous fragility, inspirational vocal gymnastics and total control while breaking barriers… a distinction that shows why she stands in a class all by herself.

Returning in July 2013, The Hard Rock Café, Niagara Falls, NY honored Jessie with an elaborate display of her memorabilia in conjunction with The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.

Sadly, on December 28, 2013, Larry Swist passed away unexpectedly.  The loss of her husband, friend, mentor and soul-mate was devastating and prompted Jessie

to postpone the release of her CD.

“Larry entitled the project, ‘The Show Must Go On.’  He believed that no matter what obstacles we face in life you have to keep moving on.  He was very proud of the work we did together.  The love we had for each other resonates in every single song.  We had so much fun writing, recording, traveling and meeting new friends in all different parts of the world.  He made every single one of our dreams come true doing everything we loved to do together.  Our musical journey continues, just like he said, “The Show Must Go On” and his love for music and life lives with every beat of my heart…

…Larry you are forever my Beautiful Man.”

And now, as of May 2015, Jessie is preparing for the release she’ll do just what the title project commands… She’ll go on… touring in Larry’s honor and divide her time between her home in New York and touring and performing in Europe.
