Seems Benedict Cumberbatch can play anyone to perfection – Sherlock Holmes, Julian Assange, Richard III – to name a few. Here he plays Alan Turing, a Cambridge mathematician hired during World War II by the British military to crack Nazi codes. Turing and his colleagues race against time to devise a machine to help them in the pre-computer age. He meets his match in Joan Clarke (Kiera Knightly) another equally brilliant member of the top-secret group of decoders. This powerful true story features an ensemble of outstanding British actors: Matthew Goode, Allen Leech, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, and Mark Strong.
