Peoples Gas Holiday Market Volunteering

Calling all volunteers to help at the Holiday Market, a European style pop-up market in Market Square, a shopping attraction that further enhances the diverse experience of the Holiday Season in Downtown Pittsburgh – dining, shopping, ice skating, cultural attractions, and free holly trolley and horse drawn carriage rides.

Holiday Market attendees can visit Santa at his home in Market Square and get their picture taken for free with a $5 cash or credit donation to benefit Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Each $5 donation made to the Food Bank provides 25 meals to neighbors in need. Help us raise even more this year as we set out goal at 375,000 meals for our community!

Volunteers will be collecting donations in exchange for a ticket to have a photo taken with Santa. You will be provided a brief orientation before your shift begins, so please be on time and ready to volunteer. All shifts are outside during many weather conditions; be sure to check the weather report for your shift and dress accordingly. We recommend bringing extra layers and umbrellas and will happily store them for you in Santa's House when not in use. There is limited lifting required, but all volunteers must be able to stand for the duration of their shift. Minimum age to volunteer is 12 years old, all minors must be accompanied by a guardian/parent. You must stay for the entirety of your shift unless your volunteer coordinator allows you to leave.
