Her song, “Old Yellow Moon”, (written with Hank DeVito) was the titlecut of Harris and Crowell’s Grammy winning duet album in 2014. Bo Roberts was born in Chester, Arkansas. At the age of eleven, he met Buddy Holly and promptly went off to buy a guitar. His first paying job was with John Fogerty. For three years, he as the lead guitar and band leader for Hank Williams, Jr. Roberts also played lead guitar for Gene Watson. During that time, he cowrote the #1 hit "You're Out Doing What I'm Here Doing Without" for Watson. In 1990, Willie Nelson released Roberts' "Ten with a Two" as a single off his "Born for Trouble" album. In 2008, Kenny Chesney cut the song for his "Lucky Old Sun" album. There is even an award-winning drink called "10 with a 2" created by the master bartender at Chesney's rum company launched in 2013. Roberts cowrote the title song on Jamey Johnson's 2012 Grammy nominated album "Living for a Song". Roberts is honored to have had Johnson and country music legends Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, and Hank Cochran each sing a verse of the song on the album. Over the years, Roberts has been recognized for his catchy song titles. He is included in the book, "Country Music's Most Wanted" in the chapter "Catch Phrase Songs". Early in his career, he had songs cut by Rose Maddox, Stoney Edwards and several others.
