Michael Mann's crime masterpiece HEAT is returning to theaters for a special one night, nationwide event. Presented by Alamo Drafthouse and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, a newly restored digital print (overseen by Mann himself) will be screened in over 20 theaters across the country accompanied by a livestream Q&A with Mann. And the Brattle is the Boston-area cinema hosting this event!

Neil McCauley (De Niro) is leaving behind his long life of crime with one last score. Vincent Hanna (Pacino) is the cop who has spent his career hunting down McCauley, and he doesn’t plan to let his nemesis retire easily. When first released, the big sell on this now classic heist film was that HEAT would be the first time Pacino and De Niro would actually appear onscreen together. Thankfully that’s not all there is to the film or it wouldn’t now be considered one of Mann’s best films.
