Friends and Family Concert Presents: Catch a Rising Star with Emma Meinrenken


 The Chief Theater is thrilled to have Emma Meinrenken return to Steamboat as part of the Friends and Family Concert Series She will be performing cellist John Sant'Ambrogio.


Emma Carina Meinrenken, age 15, studies violin with Atis Bankas at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada. Emma has won top awards in many competitions, including 1st place at the 2013 Stradivarius International Violin Competition in Utah, the silver medal at the 2014 Stulberg International String Competition in Michigan, as well as Grand Prize at the 2013 FCMF National Competition, across all instrument categories. 



Emma debuted with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at the age of 10, and has since performed as a soloist with many orchestras across North America, such as Utah Symphony, the Orchestre Metropolitain Montreal, and Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra. Recently, she was chosen as one of the ``top 30 Hot Young Canadian Classical Musicians under the age of 30” by CBC Radio, and was selected to represent Canada in a cultural event at the APEC international summit held in Beijing, China.
