Event Description
Faith & Fate

The Mendelssohn Choir is thrilled to open its new season with “Faith & Fate,” a collaborative concert with the world-renowned Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mendelssohn Music Director Betsy Burleigh.

Please Note: Online ticket sales will close Saturday, October 4 at 5 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Brahms’ Schicksalslied, or Song of Fate, takes us from heavenly bliss to the dramatic depths of despair, bemoaning the unpredictability of our earthly existence. Beethoven’s Mass in C Major is an unexpectedly peaceful and sublime expression of faith from the stormy iconoclast. Come meet a kinder, gentler Beethoven, and a blustery Brahms!
