Are you ready to start programming your own computer boards or robots and take control of your computerized world?
In the TechShop Arduino and Electronics camp, you will learn how to design, build and program your own microcontroller! This five-day camp will introduce budding hackers to the all-powerful Arduino board, which will be used to make a multitude of different projects throughout the week, culminating in your very own robot. This camp will also cover the use of the laser cutter to assist in fabricating parts for this class.
Once you have taken and successfully pass this course, you will be certified to use the laser cutters at TechShop.
This TechShop Week-Long Summer Camp is for kids ages 12-18. Camp runs Mondays through Friday from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Please select your ticket for one of the following weeks:
- M-F, July 13th-17th
- M-F, July 20th-24th
- M-F, August 10th-14th or
- M-F, August 17th-21st
Maker Sessions are available from the end of class until 6:00 PM for an additional $150 for the week. These sessions will allow children to continue working on their projects with the tools they have learned.
To sign your child up for a Maker Session, please purchase one Summer Camp: Maker Session seat for each child you would like us to watch!
Please make sure to purchase the Maker Session that begins on the same day as your child's camp!
All students must obtain parental/gaurdian consent waivers and attend camp in appropriate clothing (closed toed shoes are mandatory in a shop environment. Safety glasses and aprons will be proved). Email education.pgh@techshop.ws or call (412) 345-7182 with any questions.
