East Bang - 東風
Eight-member rock band based in Houston, specializes in a diverse range of American and Taiwanese pop, rock, alternative, and dance. Come join us for an upbeat evening of great music along with guest DJs, dancing, food, and drink.
Sam Cheng – Vocal

Performed with a Taiwanese Rock Band in Houston for number of shows from 2008-2010.
“Taiwanese Broadway Show”
-A musical night which introduced Taiwanese music history.
“Texas College Student Singing Contest”
-Half-time performance with the band during the Final contest.

-Performed popular Taiwanese rock songs.

Brian Shih – Vocal

Graduated from U of H Biology major. Performed in Tzu-Chin group singing contest 1st place. Love Karaoke.
Howard Tsai – Keyboard

Professional pianist, accompanist. Howard received his undergraduate degree in piano performance from University of Houston's Moores School of Music. He studied with piano professors such as Nancy Weems, Robert Brownlee, Timothy Hester. His piano collaborative experience is extensive. He served four years as a staff piano accompanist at St. Plus X High School with choir master Patrick Spedale. Howard has worked with professional musicians and artists in Houston such as Carole Nelson (Director of Houston Boy Choir), Lauren Anderson (Former Primo Ballerina of Houston Ballet) and Charles Hausmann (Director of Houston Symphony Chorus). Currently, Howard is the pianist, secondary organist of St. Jerome Catholic Church as well as the accompanist of the Chinese American Musician's Association Chorus.
Alfred Tam – Guitar

MM in music performance from UH. Studied under Allen Barnhill (Principal Trombone, Houston Sym.)

Aric Wang – Guitar

Aric started learning violin since the age of 11, studied with violinist Huey-Wen Luo who played violin in Taipei Symphony Orchestra. He played trumpet in a concert band for 3 years during high school. Aric also played guitar in "Emanuel" for church worship service.
Eric Chen – Bass

Eric plays multiple instruments. Pursuing a degree of bachelors in music with emphasis on business at University of Houston.
Yen Chuang – Drums

Started learning drum-set since the age of 19, Yen studied with professional performers such as Jimmy Lee, Rafael Lee, Joel Fulgham and Chuck Payne. He played as a percussionist in the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra Youth Band and participated in the Taipei International Jazz Camp in 2006. Yen also played in "The Round midnight" as a houseband of Grooveyard restaurant in Taichung Tiger City and served in the Ministry of National Defense Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan. Played in "Sloth Scamper" at SXSW 2008.
