Rennolds: Doric String Quartet & Jonathan Biss

The Doric String Quartet—Alex Reddington, violin, Jonathan Stone, violin, Hélène Clément, viola, and John Myerscough, cello—have been described by Gramophone as “one of the finest young string quartets.” Since its formation in 1998, the quartet has performed across the world. In autumn 2010, the quartet made its American debut with recitals at the Frick Museum in New York and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

Pianist Jonathan Biss tours and performs all over the world, including perfomances with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. A member on the faculty of his alma mater, the Curtis Institute of Music, Biss led the school’s first massive open online course, Exploring Beethoven’s Sonatas, to a virtual classroom of 55,000 students.
