In this brilliant and powerful drama, a Catholic school principal takes matters into her own hands when an impressionable nun suspects the new priest of improper relations with a young African-American male student—even involving the boy’s mother in her investigation.

This stylish and physical production removes the play from its context of realism and places it inside a psychological, symbolic space. 

Using structures of the Catholic Church to examine the individual’s relationship towards authority and faith, NEW EPIC THEATER brings this text into sharp focus, reclaiming the relevancy of an iconic American play.
