Marlaena Moore

Marlaena Moore is an enigmatic performer with an incredible presence and soaring voice. Her songs cross personal bedroom confessionals with grunge influenced guitar tones in a tight pop-song package. Marlaena released her first album ‘Beginner’ in early 2014 and it hit number 1 on the CJSR charts and was in their top 10 most played albums that year. She has supported accomplished acts such as Angel Olsen, Chad VanGaalen, Jennifer Castle and Julie and The Wrong Guys. Her second full length album, ‘Gaze’ which was recorded by producer Renny Wilson (Faith Healer, Michael Rault,) was released May 6th 2016 through her label Sweety Pie Records which she co runs in her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. It was later released on vinyl through Kingfisher Bluez Records October 2017.

Crystal Eyes

Crystal Eyes offer complex but subdued rock that erases negative energy with psychedelic electricity. The joyous swells of guitar, dreamy keys and a propulsive kit provide a hypnotic foundation for vocalist Erin Jenkins to build a sound crowds get lost in. Both 2015's No Man is and Island and 2017's The Female Imagination, were produced in collaboration with Juno-award winning artist Chris Dadge (Lab Coast, Chad Van Gaalen, Alvvays). Recorded on a Tascam 388, the album features warm, reverb-drenched
tones and live-off-the-floor performances that blend 90's shoegaze and 60's garage rock. The Female Imagination hit #1 on the CJSW charts in 2017, and charted in the top 25 on the national campus charts.

Samantha Savage Smith
Samantha Savage Smith is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose voice and music style has been described as a marriage of jazz, blues and indie rock influences.
Her debut album, Tough Cookie was produced by Calgary main-stay Lorrie Matheson (Rae Spoon, Ghostkeeper) and later released on the Toronto-based label, Arts & Crafts. The key to Smith's songs is that she has an ability to infuse her songs with a certain timelessness, invoking a familiarity within each listener, while still bringing formidable sense of self to the proceedings. This potent combination of traits belies the eclecticness of her own musical touchstones, which run the gamut from Anita O'Day and Kurt Vile to Land of Talk and Eric's Trip. Her second album, Fine Lines demonstrated Smith's vocal-heavy allure, while exhibiting a gigantic leap forward in the development of a truly personal songwriting style. Also recorded by Lorrie Matheson, the album featured contributions from members of Lab Coast, Preoccupations, and Chad VanGaalen's band.
