Event Description
Classic Evening Lantern Tour

Our classic two-hour evening lantern tour introduces you to some of the famous and infamous residents of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. After paying respects to Washington Irving, author of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, the cemetery’s Revolutionary War monument, the soaring Gothic monument of a wealthy merchant, industrialists Andrew Carnegie and William Rockefeller, and others. We also introduce some of the cemetery art and architecture on our grounds, and we almost always step into the cemetery’s 114-year-old underground receiving vault.  A great choice for first time visitors!

Dates:  November 22 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Time: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Location: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery North Gate, 540 North Broadway.  Please note there is plenty of free parking inside the gate.

Skill level: Some people may find the pace of our two-hour walking tours challenging. We cover more than a mile on foot and encounter stairs, unpaved roads, and hills. Please consider your own abilities when signing up for a tour.

Refunds & Exchanges: All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds unless tour/event is canceled.

Weather: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery walking tours generally run rain or shine. If we cancel a tour due to severe weather such as high winds, lightning, or heavy rain, we will promptly refund your full purchase price.
