Julius Caesar

Popular with the people and with the military, Caesar has all the support he needs to declare himself the supreme ruler of Rome at any time he chooses.  Fearing his ambition and power will destroy the Republic forever, the Senate plots a violent overthrow that will plunge the state into a bloody civil war.  As much History as Legend, equal parts cautionary tale and ghost story, Shakespeare’s classic rings with contemporary themes of politics, conspiracy, revolution, propaganda, and the power of public opinion.
