Fundraising for Nonprofits: Linking the Mission of the Organization to an Annual Fund Development Plan
In this two hour program, new and existing nonprofits will learn about the building blocks of fundraising as our speaker addresses the role of philanthropy in your organization; the role of the board of directors and staff; and how to create a message to clients and patrons. We will then discuss linking the mission of the organization to an annual fund development plan which covers the basics of a plan and how to create it. Guests will leave with a "next steps" list to building their fund development program and are encouraged to bring organizational brochures or any other print materials that describe their organization.
Presenter: Allison Cagley has worked for local and regional arts and education organizations for 30 years in the greater Sacramento area. Allison’s extensive experience includes all areas of fund development, board management and marketing. She is the director of development for California Musical Theatre (Music Circus and Broadway Sacramento) which aligns well with her life-long passion for musical theatre thanks to her parents’ influence. Allison is a past president of the California Capital Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a member of the E. Claire Raley Studios for the Performing Arts board of directors, and a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento.
