Event Description
On August 5, 20011, I, Ben Flores, was severely beaten by an unsure number of people. I was given CPR to revive me, and brought back to life a couple of times before being transported by Flight for Life to Denver. I then had massive surgery done on my face and nose from the stomping that was done to me.
I have learned to walk again and have had to re-learn to remember my family and friends and all the memories we had. I also have a three year old who begs me to get better so I can play with her outside. I tell her after I get rid of this cane I will, she agrees…
Our friends at the Eagles Lodge of Leadville have offered to put on a benefit in honor of me. I’m not one to do things unless I can do it myself, so it’s hard to get used to all this. I am so thankful for them and everyone one else willing to lend a hand and help me in any way shape or form.
Every day I wake up thanking God for giving me one more day and thank Him for all the friends family and anyone else who has or wants to help me and my family.
I know this won’t bring down the rightful person who did this horrible thing to me and changed my life forever, but I do know what it will do and that is show him the fact that it’s no longer just me, but I am a part of a huge pack of people who are ready to fight till we see JUSTICE and I know it will happen!
So if you would please save the date and join me in having a great time, it would truly mean a lot!!! I hope to see you there!
