Backwoods Boat Festival

Tickets will go on sale in May, with an early bird special of only $30 for both nights! Also this year, we are changing admission to 18 and over. Please note that readmission will not be allowed if you leave the facility. Please invite all your friends and lets keep this thing growing!

Illinois native and MCA Nashville Records recording artist David Lee Murphy has released four albums, producing 13 singles on the country charts: Dust on the Bottle (#1), Party Crowd (#6), Every Time I Get Around You (#2), Loco (#5), and The Road You Leave Behind (#5). Murphy is also a decorated songwriter, having written or co-written no. 1 songs for artists such as Kenny Chesney ('Til It's Gone, Living in Fast Forward), Jason Aldean (Big Green Tractor, The Only Way I Know), and Thompson Square (Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not).

Country star and former ASCAP Songwriter of the Year, Phil Vassar, first entered the charts in 2000 with his hit single, Carlene (#5). He went on to chart 22 songs, including: Just Another Day in Paradise (#1), In a Real Love (#1), Six Pack Summer (#9), Last Day of My Life (#2), and Love is a Beautiful Thing (#2), among others. Vassar's latest single, 'Love is Alive,' was released in 2013. Vassar has also written chart-topping songs for Tim McGraw (My Next 30 Years), Jo Dee Messina (I'm Alright, Bye Bye) and Alan Jackson (Right On The Money).

The Cardboard Boat Regatta continues to grow in participants, and attracts larger crowds each year. The regatta's evolution has produced faster boats, more creative designs, and more spectacular sinks! Rules and registration forms will be posted to www.lakehillwinery.com
