Set in 1993 during an ostentatious wedding reception at a Knoxville, Tennessee estate, five reluctant, identically clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason to avoid the proceedings below. As the afternoon wears on, the women realize that despite their differences, they have more in common with each other than any of them have with the bride! Wickedly funny, irreverent, and touching, the play is by Alan Ball, Academy Award-winning author of "American Beauty" and the TV series "True Blood" and "Six Feet Under."
