Guitar Series: The Björn Thoroddsen Trio (Iceland)

One of Iceland’s leading jazz guitarists, Björn Thoroddsen has worked with Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Robin Nolan, and Tommy Emmanuel.   Since picking up the guitar at the age of 10, Bjorn has been playing pop, jazz, rock, blues, country and whatever style of music he feels like playing at the time. The trio features Winnipeg’s Richard Gillis on trumpet and Saskatoon’s Gent Laird on bass.
