Classic Daytime Tour

Dig deeper into the history of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and its inhabitants. On these two-hour walks you'll hear of Washington Irving, author of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," Revolutionary War veterans, wealthy industrialists, and others. We will also introduce you to some of the cemetery art, architecture, and symbols on our grounds, and we almost always step into the cemetery's 114-year-old underground receiving vault.

Time:  2:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

Location: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery South Gate, 430 North Broadway, adjacent to the Old Dutch Church.  Please note there is plenty of free parking inside the gate.

Skill level: Some people may find the pace of our two-hour walking tours challenging. We cover more than a mile on foot and encounter stairs, unpaved roads, and hills. Please consider your own abilities when signing up for a tour.

Weather: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery walking tours generally run rain or shine. If we cancel a tour due to severe weather such as high winds, lightning, or heavy rain, we will promptly refund your full purchase price.
