Cincinnati, OH's Rumpke Mountain Boys craft a signature blend of bluegrass so unique it has it's own name - Trashgrass. With acoustic guitar, mandolin, upright bass and banjo, the award winning jamgrass group has traveled the country for the past decade gaining faithful followers everywhere they perform. A favorite in the music festival circuit and winner of Cincinnati Entertainment Awards Best Bluegrass Band seven years running, Rumpke Mountain Boys are known for their intense live performances where every show is a party. Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon put it best, stating that the band is a "party waiting to happen." With influences ranging from Jimmy Cliff, The Grateful Dead and Tom Waits to the more traditional Osborne Brothers and Stanley Brothers, the Rumpke Mountain Boys leave no genre of music untouched, and each show is unique with no prepared setlist.

In 2013 Rumpke Mountain Boys released Moon, a follow up to 2012's widely popular Trashgrass, and have continued to be a major draw at music festivals across the country, with performances at Suwanee Springfest, Northwest String Summit, Dark Star Jubilee, just to name a few. They also played a run of shows in Jamaica and have toured extensively with Grateful Dead Hour host David Gans, who proclaimed, "One of the things I love about the RMB is that there's a fundamental honesty in their presentation. This is something they share with my other heroes, Donna the Buffalo and the Grateful Dead. They don't make set lists ahead of time, they don't rehearse their songs to a fare-thee-well: they perform in real time. All four of them write, which is very important, and they draw songs from a tremendous variety of sources... Being a musician is a life-long learning experience, if you're doing it right, and they are."

Despite all of the accolades, Rumpke Mountain Boys remain one of the most fan-friendly bands in the industry due to their renegade sets and infamous campfire tours, where the band travels campsite to campsite, many times picking until dawn with a hoard of faithful followers in tow. Their drive, dedication, and desire to play good music together shines through in their performances, whether they be on a stage in front of thousands of music fans or around a campfire with a group of friends. Rumpke Mountain Boys continue to bring their loose, fun, genre-defying trashgrass sound to the ears of music fans throughout the country.
