MAQAM : Spectacular Bellydace featuring Jill Parker; Showcasing performing bellydance & music acts from Pittsburgh & beyond highlighting the roots of bellydance with a contemporary flair. See Bellydance in a way that showcases dance & music from folkloric styles of Egyptian villages, Indian deserts, Moroccan marketplaces to western modern stages & contemporary dance & theatrics.This dance form has many powerful roots with dynamic presentations that all will leave the audience blown away.

Artists & Performers include:

JILL PARKER (San Francisco, Ca) Jill Parker is an international, award-winning belly dancer. She is aninstructor, choreographer, and founder of the modern tribal fusion bellydance movement. Jill is an original member of Fat Chance Belly Dance, founder of Ultra Gypsy, and director of the Foxglove Sweethearts. She teaches weekly classes at ODC Commons in San Francisco and Spring Fall Dance Studio in Berkeley, California.
