Through projected & spoken text, physical acuity and imaginative theater techniques, this multi-disciplinary, layered work journeys through tangible and provocative imagery, touching upon universal emotional and visceral remnants of life; half filled wine glasses, a loved one’s scent left behind in a coat, discovered messages, the memory of family dinners past, a recipe, birthday parties, aging – told with poignant humor, honesty, and nuance.
REMAINS takes audiences on an honest and intimate journey exploring life’s lingering stages in all its relative joys and pains, humor and humility, and yes, stubborn and marvelous remnants. The quotidian fights, the struggles to maintain order, to be validated, recognized, from the smallest daily gesture to a seemingly monumental life event ... when it’s past, what remains?
