Rhythm and Brews featuring Rusted Root

On Saturday, August 29^th, Rivertowne Brewing will host a craft beer festival featuring local bands and guest breweries.  Food and retail vendors will be selling wares on site.  Gates open at 2:00 PM.  Music starts at 4:00 PM.  Other entertainment will take place throughout the day.  The entire event will wrap up around 9:00 PM.  Donations will be made to local charities.  Advance ticket purchase is encouraged. 

Rivertowne Brewing invites the 21 and over public to join them for a celebration in the park complete with great beers, great food, great music, and great friends.   CEO of Rivertowne Brewing Company, Christian Fyke, envisioned an event where beer enthusiasts can sample different craft brews while enjoying local bands in the great outdoors.  Rivertowne’s motto is to provide a venue where friends can meet.  From these ideas, Rhythm and Brews was born. 

General admission is $50 and includes a souvenir tumbler, unlimited Rivertowne samples, and two full-sized Rivertowne pours in the Beer Garden.  The Beer Garden offers a casual setting to enjoy the company of existing and new friends while sampling the complimentary pours of the Rivertowne.   'Taste of Summer' beers include Hala Kahiki and Jah Mon while we introduce the 'Fall Fest' beers, Oktoberfest, Headless Wylie, and Sassamanash.  Additionally, two different VIP craft breweries will be showcased in the beer garden every hour.

VIP admission is $80 and includes general admission privileges, as well as VIP tent access between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, unlimited samples from VIP craft brewers, and light refreshments.  VIP craft brewers include: All Saints Brewing Company, Fat Head’s Brewery, Four Seasons Brewing Company, Helltown Brewing, Spoonwood Brewing Company, and of course Rivertowne.    

Confirmed food vendors include, Italian-style Legends of the North Shore, hot dog guru Franktuary, Dad’s Pub & Grub pub style food, and more.  Retail vendors will sell beer-themed items. 

Music begins at 4:00PM.  The Jenkins Brothers, Nacho Blues, and Fungus Pittsburgh will contribute their unique musical performances until 7:00 PM.  At that time, Rusted Root will take the stage with their fusion of acoustic, rock, world and other styles of music, with a strong percussion section that draws from African, Latin American, and Native American influences.

Rivertowne Brewing is entrenched in the local community and has set a goal to donate a $10,000 contribution to be shared amongst the Turtle Creek Rail Trail, the Sampson Family YMCA, Monroeville Rotary Club, Monroeville Community Pools, and Monroeville Police Benevolent Fund. 

Lawn seating is available, though attendants are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
