2014 Preservation Crustaceans Crawfish Boil

Join the Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas for Hot Bugs, Cold Beer, Old Buildings!

The Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas will hold a crawfish and shrimp boil on Thursday, May 1 at the Argenta Plaza at 520 Main Street in North Little Rock. Preservation Crustaceans is an annual event held by the Alliance to raise funds and awareness for places of historic and cultural significance throughout the state. Preservation Crustaceans begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 8:30 pm with a VIP Party beginning at 5:30.

Preservation Crustaceans has grown from a small, back-yard gathering to an Arkansas Heritage Month tradition. For this year’s 13^th anniversary, the Alliance is returning to the site of the first Preservation Crustaceans event—Argenta in North Little Rock.

Regular tickets include all-you-can-eat crawfish, shrimp, sausage and the fixins. Adult and kid-friendly beverages are included. Regular tickets are $45 with a $5 early bird discount before April 24. Kids 9-17 are $10 and kids 8 and under are free. 

Tickets to the party with the V.I.Ps (Very Important Preservationists) from 5:30 – 7:00 include early access to the V.I.P. party at Barth-Hempfling House, sponsored by Clements & Associates Architects. V.I.P. Tickets included hurricanes, wine, beer, sweet treats and all-you-can-eat crawfish, shrimp, sausage and the fixins. VIP Tickets are $70 with a $10 early bird discount before April 24.

Proceeds from Preservation Crustaceans will benefit the Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas, the only statewide nonprofit organization, which works to build stronger communities in Arkansas by reconnecting Arkansans to our heritage and empowering people to save and rehabilitate historic places.
