Leave your winter coat and boots at the coat check and bring some flip-flops. It’s a Party in Paradise!

Party host, Scott Harbaugh, WPXI Severe Weather Team 11 meteorologist is predicting a beautiful, tropical night inside the National Aviary’s lush exhibits.

Dance the winter blues away as DJ Scottro heats up the dancefloor and see how low you can go in the limbo contest.

No party in paradise would be complete without meeting some feathered locals! Chat with the parrots, mingle with the flamingos, and learn why our African Penguins hate the cold as much as you do.

Other paradise inspired activities include:

• Be one of 20 lucky party goers to feed the Rainbow Lorikeets.


• Create sand art.


• Learn how to make exotic fruit displays from students at the Bidwell Training Center.


• Try your luck with our 50/50 raffle.

Purchase island-style cocktails by White Diamond Vodka and ice-cold Victory Brewing Co. beer from our signature bar. Atria’s will be serving up delectable bites for purchase throughout the night.

 Wondering what to wear? Dig out your Hawaiian shirt or favorite beach dress. Can’t find them? Not a problem. We will have flowers and leis available to spice up any outfit!

Every dollar you spend on photos with parrots, painting with penguins or upgrading your ticket to the Cabana Level supports the National Aviary's education, avian medicine, and conservation programs both locally and internationally. Your support helps us soar!  

All guests must be 21 and over - Must have valid ID. 

Tickets are just $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

This is a cash or donation voucher event. Visitors without cash can purchase donation vouchers from a visitor services desk using credit/debit cards. Vouchers can also be purchased with cash if party goers need to make change. These vouchers can be used for the flamingo mingle, feeding the Rainbow Lorikeets, taking a photo with a parrot or sending a postcard from paradise, purchasing flowers or leis, and purchasing alcoholic beverages from the cash bar. Participating in the 50/50 drawing is cash only. Food can be purchased using cash or a card directly from Atria's. The National Aviary does not have an ATM on site.
