OnCue, a Connecticut native/Brooklyn based Hip-Hop artist, is known for his unique genre blending style and his ability to mix thoughtful lyrics with catchy, melodic beats and vocal stylings. These qualities that caught the eye of legendary producer Just Blaze. The two clicked and collaborated on OnCue's latest album, Angry Young Man, titled after the famous Billy Joel song. The album details exactly what Joel intended - the story of a working class kid trying to make it no matter what - the underdog who never gives up. Personal stories of a broken home, drug addiction, and the trials and tribulations of growing up are recurring themes throughout the 12 song set.
His fans' connection to the OnCue experience was reflected in the song, "Home", a tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy, which hit #67 on the iTunes chart. In September 2011, competing against four other rising artists, OnCue's "Feel Tall" video won MTVU's Freshman of the Week slot. In the July 14th issue of Billboard Magazine, he was named as one of their "Top Ten Emerging Artists".
