Join us to hear The Rev. Dr. John A. MacDougall speak at the upcoming annual CLEAR lecture on October 18th at 7:00 pm at The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Lecture Hall in Oakland.
Dr. MacDougall authored "Being Sober and Becoming Happy: The Best Ideas from The Director of Spiritual Guidance at Hazelden. Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is a world famous addiction treatment center in Minnesota where he worked from 1994-2013. He also co-authored The Clinician's Guide to Spirituality, published by McGraw Hill.
Dr. MacDougall now serves as The Spiritual Care Coordinator at The Retreat, in Wayzata, Minnesota.
He is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and the Theological School of Drew University, from which he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree with a focus in family therapy.
Rev. John is a United Methodist minister, having served as a parish pastor for seventeen years in New Jersey and New England.
He has been clean and sober since July 4, 1989.
