-=- Luis Flores -=-
Guadalajara, Mexico - Techno

In an era of countless techno and house sub-genres, classifying Luis Flores’s sound is a difficult feat, and that is precisely its purpose. His personality and experience are present in every track he produces, where the normally inorganic techno manages to elicit large amounts of groove and sense of humor. Flores’s interaction with the machine becomes the listeners’ interaction with auditory landscapes of eeriness, altered states and paranoia. A minimal use of elements results in a rich spectrum of textures and a dark and trippy dance floor pull. Live shows, improvisational in nature, can last anywhere from 1-3 hours, resulting in a hypnotic exploration of the possibilities of electronic production.

-=-Audio Injection-=-
Los Angeles, CA - Techno

Since being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90’s, Audio Injection has been hooked. At the early age of 15 he started Djing and playing out at local underground events and raves around the Southern California area. You would find him spinning various styles from house, acid and techno to hardcore techno.

After years of Djing he then decided to learn to produce his own music, which landed him releases on techno labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, & local label Droid Recordings.

In early 2011 Audio Injection started a project called ‘Truncate’ which focuses on the deeper, darker, and more raw side of techno. With releases & remixes on labels such as Droid, CLR, Electric Deluxe, Sleaze, BluFin, Enemy, Impact Mechanics, Ground Factory and many more, Audio Injection continues to shape his own sound as well as collaborate with Drumcell to release more mind bending techno, putting Los Angeles & Droid Recordings on the techno map.

-=- Jan van Lier -=-
Denver, CO - House/Techno

Best known for his huge and forward-thinking dancefloor bombs on labels like Definitive Recordings, BluFin, Incorrect Music, and Rusted Records among others, Jan van Lier is also a true professional behind the decks. His ability to put together head-lifting and sweat-inducing sets under any condition or circumstance comes from years of cutting his teeth spinning vinyl in the Northern California underground. Playing at full moon parties on the peaks of forest-covered mountains hundreds of meters above the cloudline below, then back to the city and rocking warehouse raves and clubs in the same weekend, Jan has never met a dancefloor he didn't eagerly face.

His last (and first) visit to Minnesota was in 2010 at the old 404 SoundBar as SubClass's first out-of-town guest, and the city has been hungry for his return, so please join us in welcoming back Jan van Lier!

-=Dustin Zahn=-
Enemy, Drumcode, Truesoul, CLR, Rekids
Minneapolis/Techno

The story behind Dustin Zahn is not a particularly unique or exciting one. There are no breakthrough moments or mentors who have taken him under their wing. But since 1998, his work has put his career on a slow and steady ascent. Along the way, Dustin has gained over 10 years of experience and unrivaled musical diversity as both a producer and a performer. This alone has earned him respect among techno and house legends, purists, and contemporary DJs. He now performs regularly around the world at some of the most reputable clubs and festivals along with some dodgy, sleazy warehouses and beach parties in-between.

His DJ sets are much like his releases. "I like it dark enough for the boys, but groovy enough for the girls." With a preference for marathon sets and his laid-back approach to life and music, he seamlessly traverses through various genres which creates a unique, hypnotic vibe that isn't found among most DJs.

As a producer, his releases on labels such as Drumcode, Rekids, and CLR have brought him international success. While Dustin's original productions are something of the rare and special sort, it's his remixes that have helped catapult him into the collections of DJs everywhere. As a remixer, he has done work for the likes of Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Green Velvet, Dubfire, Nic Fanciluli, Mark Broom, Joel Mull, and many other high profile acts. Despite his busy release schedule, he still finds time to own and operate Enemy Records. Founded in 2004, Enemy focuses on the same late-night hypnotic techno that you'll often find in his DJ sets.

-=- Matt Rissi -=-
Cedar Rapids, IA - Techno

For over 14 years Matt Rissi (known on the Midwestern rave circuit as DJ Sonar) has been hosting & sharing stages & line ups with some of the world’s most respected underground artists. He does so with the sole intent of fueling a passion for groove that he embraces with 100% conviction & dedication. Locally, he’s at the forefront of a movement, leading with torch in hand… Nationally, he takes to a bigger stage with the means to completely steal the show.

-=- The Goat -=-
Cedar Rapids, IA - Techno

After beginning to DJ in 1996, Coleman became known as ‘The Goat’ for founding Digital Perceptions and hosting his own Techno Pagan Rituals. At these events he began to understand the important relationship between the listener and the performer and how they interact with one another. Given this platform for expression, he developed his dj skills in a rare live setting and slowly figured out how to expand the boundaries of his music and the crowd’s expectations. Over the years he has continued to aggrandize his performances and never fails to challenge the crowd both mentally and physically.

-=- James Patrick -=-
Minneapolis - Deep Techno Innovator

If you haven't heard of this guy, one must wonder how you found this event in the first place. 15 year DJ/ music producer, curator of the International Spark Festival, owner of Timefog Recordings, and Ableton Certified Trainer; James Patrick is a sound artist who thrives on bringing together the creative energy and ideas of his community. JP has 10+ years of professional experience directing events and playing music alongside likewise innovators in the genre. A true icon of the MPLS techno scene with two techno twins on the way, we hope the demands of parenting don't get in the way of his attendance!

-=- Centrific -=-
Minneapolis - Techno

Over the last two decades, Steve "Centrific" Seuling's name has become synonymous with Minneapolis techno. His work promoting with Intellephunk, Drop Bass Network and other entities helped define the style and character of upper-Midwest raves and parties, and his prowess behind the decks helped establish and demolish the limits of techno and house music. Currently Steve co-hosts the weekly Crave rooftop parties in downtown Minneapolis, which has been solidified as the go-to end-of-weekend party spot for the hardcore electronic heads who need one more dose of bass before returning to the daily grind. Whether you've seen him play there or elsewhere, you know you're in for a treat when Steve takes over. And for those that haven't seen him... where the hell have you been??

-=- Paul Birken LIVE -=-
Minneapolis/Techno

For the last 20 years, Paul has been developing and exploring his love for the limitless potential that exists when you chain together synths, sequencers, samplers, and drum machines.

From those early teen days with his old Commodore 64 computer and a few synths through the present (with an ever-changing studio and gear arsenal), the ability to create grooves and trax that you can get into and get down with has allowed him to branch into the techno/house/electro world.

Since he doesn't spin records, Paul's live sets include everything from new trax that you'll never hear on an available release to last minute remixes of his own cuts, or even other artists trax that he wants to include in the 60-90 minute set. Each set is unique in that it gets erased after the event and won't be performed again.
