Holiday Lights & Sights Tour

Ho ho ho...The holidays are officially here! So why not take a tour that will have you meeting new people, learning something new, and is great for both the Native New Yorker or new to the Big Apple!

Our tours are designed for New Yorkers who are interested in finding out more about the city in which they live. Be a tourist in your own town with a fun group of people from our group and other social networking groups from the NYC area! If you are a native New Yorker or new to the city there is so much we take for granted or never notice as we navigate through midtown Manhattan. It is even more beautiful with all the holiday decorations! There is so much history, hidden secrets and fun facts that await you when you join this tour as you explore and socialize with other fun people! This tour will be given with our headphone technology so you won't miss a word plus you will enjoy holiday music in the background as we share the history at each location.

We begin near 34th Street with amazing old photos of the original Penn Station that was even bigger and more beautiful than Grand Central. We’ll wind our way through the streets with stops along the way where your tour guide will show you pictures from the late 18 and early 1900’s plus share the historical significances of each location. The tour ends at Rockefeller Center and last about 90 minutes.

We will also stop along the way and see the windows at Macy's, Lord and Taylor and Sacks, the tree in Bryant Park, 6th Avenue Corporation Row, Radio City and the tree at Rockefeller Center.

You will be blown away by the hidden secrets, fun facts and old photos of what was then and what is now.

Following the tour the group will go to a local tavern for food and drink.

How will it work? The Group will meet at The Thirsty Fan at 6:30pm. The tour will take approx 2 1/2 hours and end at Rockefeller Center and after go to a local Tavern where you can settle down, enjoy a cocktail or grab a bite to eat. You'll get a pair of headphones that will be used to stream the tour guides interesting facts and you'll hear some historical sound bites from NYC's past.
