Canada's renowned pops conductor Brian Jackson brings his re-creation of American showman and glittering pianist Liberace's sparkling style and witty banter, complete with glitzy costumes and candelabra, to the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra at Third Avenue United Church.
Maestro Jackson brings the spirit of Liberace's piano styling to some of the showman's greatest hits, like Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer," a medley of Gershwin tunes, Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Memory" from Cats, and Vangelis' theme from Chariots of Fine. Liberace's hits from classical music are included, too, like the "Light Cavalry" Overture, Beethoven's "Pathetique Andante," theme from the "Warsaw Concerto," and Chopin's "Nocturne." There's also "Bumble Boogie" and a few surprises.
Tickets start at just $25, INCLUDING service charges.
