Event Description
The Comic Orchestra - Family Concert

Mathieu Pouliot conductor Christopher Hall stand-up comedian + musician Discover the not-so-serious-world of the orchestra with Christopher Hall, former classical musician and, now, stand-up comedian.

It's a fun-filled family show that aims to demystify the symphony orchestra and the wonderful world of classical music. You’ll meet all the instruments of the orchestra and get a 15-minute history of classical music from medieval to modern times. Including works by Mozart, Bach, an excerpt from Peter and the Wolf and much more.

Christopher Hall, a native of Saskatoon and former orchestral clarinettist-turned stand up comic, will be your guide through the seemingly serious world of the orchestra.

It’s everything you always wanted to know about the orchestra, but were afraid to ask, all in the fun atmosphere of Boomtown, at the Western Development Museum.

Before the concert, there's a musical instrument petting zoo, and a fun crafts table where you can make your special souvenir of the concert!
