Entertainment includes the award winning Cincy Brass on Friday beginning at 9pm. Ten dudes + ten cohesively-played instruments + Cincy-sass + choice covers + rabid fun = 3 entire sets devoted to getting your dance groove on! "N'awlins Soul Meets Cincinnati Funk" - That is the best way to describe The Cincy Brass. This 9-piece brass band has the essence of Bourbon St, funk, hip-hop, and jazz all wrapped into an epic explosion of sound and passion. Whether it’s an original off of their debut album, a mind-blowing twist on a cover of a pop hit (Beyonce, James Brown, Def Leppard, Lady Gaga, George Michaels, etc), or an old time N'awlins street music hit, The Cincy Brass delivers a performance that can't be duplicated. The band exploded onto the scene in the past few years, performing at some of Cincinnati's hippest music venues and biggest festivals. You also may have seen the brass at Reds games and opening for acts like 311, Sublime, Foreigner, Blessid Union of Souls, and Journey. Make sure you don't miss The Cincy Brass!

Saturday night features The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band at 9:30pm. With a reputation for their incendiary live shows well established, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band plays a brand of Americana and Blues that stands alone – Delta blues and hillbilly fervor combine with musical acuity sharp as razor wire, this trio is a force to be reckoned with. The growl of a good truck engine, the fiercest passion for his country home and family and an uncanny ability to breathe new life into old forms of music give them a pedigree many Americana acts would kill for and an ironclad work ethic keeps them on the road 250 dates a year, playing for the people with hurricane force. Locked in with an audience, the band create their own community and welcome the crowd into it, transporting them away from their troubles to joyous release, the way great musicians have done for centuries. Their new album “Between the Ditches” is out now. It debuted at #1 on the iTunes Blues Album Chart.

Stay tuned for more updates on entertainment!

The Bavarian Beer Bash is also an event for makers of craft beer. The AHA/BJCP-sanctioned Bavarian Beer Bash Homebrew Competition is open to all home brewers. The competition is restricted to non-commercial homebrewed beer. The competition will follow BJCP guidelines for entries of Bavarian styled beers in 2 categories: Northern German Aultbier and Kolsch. All entries must be received by our shipping location or at a drop location by September 20, 2014. Judging will take place Sunday, September 28th at the Ogle Haus. Winners will be announced on stage Saturday October 4th after the meet and greet.

OUR MISSION: The Bavarian Beer Bash (BBB) is a nonprofit organization formed to celebrate craft beer the first weekend of October (Friday and Saturday) with 5 goals: to support Vevay’s revitalization, bring people to downtown Vevay, to promote the art of craft brew, regional food, and entertainment.
