Armenia Meets Moldova

Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. The Musical Connection presents a concert featuring two duos from Armenia and Moldova combining love for traditional music and classical elegance. Local artist Sarkis Petrosian, a Santour maestro from Armenia, and renowned international guest pianist, Hamayag Hovanessian will perform music ranging from the 12th to 20th century. Brilliant Moldovian Violinist Valery Glava will perform classical music with outstanding pianist and composer Lee Tomboulian. All performers were classically trained at the Russian Conservatory for Music. We hope that you will join us for an innovative and exciting performance made possible by funding from the City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division, the Texas Commission on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
