Born in 1950 into a long line of cantors, composers, and both classical and vaudeville musicians, Andy Statman is one of America’s most gifted and sought after mandolinists and clarinetists. Andy is a master interpreter, composer and performer of the music that represents his dual heritage as an observant Jew and as an American. His peers, fans, and the world press celebrate him as the rare multi-instrumentalist who can bring to life Bluegrass, Klezmer, Jazz, Americana, and Hasidic song in a way few other musicians ever have.
