“NYC: State Of The Art” is the first-ever art industry conference focused on New York City's emerging artists.

NYC:SOTA 2010 will feature a full day of investigation and solutions from stakeholders: artists, non-profit galleries, charitable foundations, art collectors, developers, auction houses, galleries, museums, and government officials.

New York’s visual fine artists have faced persistent challenges, and the current economy only exacerbates the problem. Because of the impact of New York’s $21 billion art industry, economic fortunes and creative legacies are at stake. The need for dialogue is urgent.

Panelists include:

Jeremy Adams, Executive Director, Cue Art Foundation
Susan Ball, Director of Programs, New York Foundation for the Arts
Jonathan Bowles, Director, Center for an Urban Future
Jason Bowman, Director, Fountain Gallery
David Businelli, President, American Institute of Architects (NY State)
Liz Dimmitt, Curator, Gawker Artists
Heng-Gil Han, Visual Arts Director, Jamacia Center for Arts & Learning
Heather Hubbs, Director, New Art Dealers Association
David Kratz, President, New York Academy Of Art
Cary Leibowitz, Director of Contemporary Editions, Phillips de Pury
Wes Miller, Curator, Art:21
Keats Myer, Executive Director, Children’s Museum of the Arts
Marisa Sage, President, Williamsburg Gallery Association
Manon Slome, Founder & Curator, No Longer Empty
Will Maitland Weiss, Executive Director, Arts & Business Council of New York
...and more

Scheduled for March 6, 2010, NYC:SOTA 2010 will be an impressive inaugural conference.

NYC:SOTA 2010 will open a dialogue and launch solutions, preserving New York City as a global art capital where art is sold and created.

NYC: State of the Art is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization.

Thank you for contributing to change and the advancement of the visual arts in New York City!
