Event Description
CORNINGWORKS: at ONCE there was A HOUSE

A zany theatrical ride exploring the question of “whatever happened to DICK & JANE?”  A series of vignettes that range from the humorous to the poignant, from the comical to the disturbing — featuring a multi-disciplinary cast drawn from some of Pittsburgh’s performing illuminati.

Joining Corning will be:

JACKIE DEMPSEY (Squonk Opera)
JOHN GRESH (renowned Pittsburgh actor/director/musician)
YAOV KADDAR (former dancer with Pilobolus, Jose Limon & Paul Taylor among others)
TAMAR ROCHELLE TOENTINO (former principal dancer with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre)
MICHELE de la REZA (Attack Theatre)

Lighting design by IAIN COURT
Costume design by MARINA HARRIS

“...not just a good dance, but good theater, with a pervasive darkness worthy of Ibsen, or Bergman.”
-  COOL CLEVELAND

“The irony is thing...an astonishing work...there is no guessing what comes next, and while there are lots of laughs in the piece, they’re balanced by poignant moments that make it thoughtful and persuasive”
