Lineup

 Andrew Duhon (5:30 - 7pm)

Andrew Duhon began writing in high school spurred on by a fascination with the literary works of Emerson and Thoreau as well as poets Walt Whitman and Robert Frost. During the summer of '04 Andrew worked and lived at an old retreat house on the outskirts of the French Quarter. It was then that he fell in love with the character of New Orleans. A year later hurricane Katrina left the city and his former French Quarter home crippled. The blues that he had found in the French Quarter rang true as he continued to write. The honesty in Andrew Duhon's songwriting is a result of the self realization that he has found through his writing. His music and performances reflect his personal perspective in a very real way, and his voice leaves no gaps in the experience as he sings with a conviction all too befitting of his raw, personal writings.

TEAM* (4:00 - 5:00pm)

If you enjoy the upbeat, indie-pop stylings of acts like Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Two Door Cinema Club, The Kooks, and Vampire Weekend then you better join the TEAM* fast, because their train is set to take off. Following a handful of singles and an excellent EP in 2013 (not to mention a tour with Third Eye Blind), the Dallas duo released Good Morning Bad Day this past October, a 9-track effort produced by Cartel’s Will Pugh. Comprised of Caleb Turman and Rico Andradi of Forever The Sickest Kids, TEAM* offer up some fun, danceable indie-pop with infectious choruses, inescapable guitar lines and some smoother, relaxing moments, too. It’s not worlds apart from their work in FTSK but it’s a nice departure and an exciting new path for two talented musicians to explore. How this band is yet to explode in popularity is beyond me.    -Under The Gun Review

 Maybe April (2:30 - 3:30pm)

Maybe April was born in the summer of 2012 when Katy Bishop, Kristen Castro, and Alaina Stacey travelled across the country to Nashville, Tennessee for a weeklong music industry camp. The three strangers and singer-songwriters from Jonesboro, Arkansas, Simi Valley, California, and Chicago, Illinois, quickly became friends.

Since they met, they have been writing songs and singing harmonies as a trio, each adding something different from their musical backgrounds to create a country indie folk sound. "I think we are a perfect combination because we help each other grow as we work together. Katy is a brilliant lyricist, Kristen hears beautiful melodies in her head, and I help put those things together by adding on harmonies once we've finished writing a song" says Alaina. As they rotate instruments and crack mediocre jokes on stage, each performance not only tells stories of everything from hardship to heartache, but also shows how the three girls support one another as both friends and musicians. Kristen states, “Both on and off stage we’re best friends. We’re always laughing or giving the other person a shoulder to cry on when they need it. They’ve become my home away from home.” Just like their harmonies, Alaina, Katy, and Kristen are a perfect fit. Their love for each other and their music continues to push them in their endeavors in Nashville, where they now share a house, a stage, and a passion.
