Just months before the centenary of Orson Welles’s birth, this documentary offers some delicious morsels from nearly every existing work by the legendary auteur of “Citizen Kane” and “The Magnificent Ambersons.” Included is rare footage from the unfinished “The Other Side of the Wind” with John Huston, and the 1934 experimental short “The Hearts of Age,” which he co-directed at the age of 18. From Oscar-winning documentarian Chuck Workman, this chronicle of Welles' career, both within and outside the Hollywood system, features interviews with Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Richard Linklater, and his longtime friend, film historian/director Peter Bogdanovich. A must see for film buffs!
