Opening Night Film: Three Rivers Film Festival

This well-received film chronicles the story of indie rocker Irene McCabey (Rachel McKeon, recently in Quantum Theatre’s production of Tamara), who comes to Pittsburgh after inheriting her great-grandfather’s run-down, abandoned row house. A booze-fueled attempt to restore the structure with her cousin (Jack Culbertson) finds Irene’s newfound domestic instinct conflicting with her propensity for chaos. Shot locally by writer/director/co-producer Colin Healey, Homemakers features numerous local actors, including Sheila McKenna, Harry O’Toole, and associate producer Adrienne Wehr. Winner of the Audience Award at the 2014 Independent Film Festival Boston.
